Rep. Martha Roby shares experiences learned at Blossomwood Elementary with Congressional Committee

Alabama Rep. Martha Roby, R-Montgomery, shared her experiences during a February visit to Huntsville's Blossomwood Elementary School with the Education and the Workforce Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education Subcommittee.
 Roby, the only Alabama representative on the committee, discussed Blossomwood's work with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) program, as well as Raytheon's involvement with the school.

The visit, Roby tells committee members, gave her a firsthand look at the partnership formed between Blossomwood and Raytheon. It also gave her a chance to visit with Jan Ingram, an elementary school teacher at Blossomwood, who taught Roby as a third grader in Montgomery.
