Roby Congratulates Ronda Walker on Montgomery County Commission Appointment
U.S. Representative Martha Roby (R-AL) today congratulated Ronda Walker upon her appointment to the Montgomery County Commission.
Walker served the past three years as Field Representative in Rep. Roby's Montgomery office before being appointed by Governor Robert Bentley to the Montgomery County Commission effective today. Walker fills the vacancy created when then-Commissioner Dimitri Polizos was elected to the Alabama Legislature last November.
"Ronda is an exceptional person and has been an invaluable member of my congressional staff," Rep. Roby said. "While I hate to lose her from our team, I am so proud of Ronda for this special honor and excited to see her develop in her new role."
Rep. Roby attended today's special swearing-in ceremony at the Montgomery County Commission Chambers and spoke of Walker's enthusiasm for public service.
"Heeding a call toward public service isn't easy, especially for parents of young children. But Ronda is a born leader and team-builder. I have no doubt she will serve the people of Montgomery County with great distinction."
