Logan Powell Serves as Congressional Intern for Rep. Roby
U.S. Representative Martha Roby announced today that Logan Powell, from Montgomery, is currently serving as a Congressional intern in her Washington D.C., office.
In the office, Powell is helping with legislative and administrative duties on behalf of the people of Alabama. Powell attends Auburn University, where he is studying Political Science. He is currently serving in the Student Government Association as the director of The BIG Event, an annual school-wide day of community service and outreach. He is a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
While serving, Congressional interns observe and take part in the workings of the United States Congress. Experience gained from these internships help students develop knowledge of the government and various policy issues, as well as professional skills that will be valuable in future pursuits.
Powell is a 2011 graduate of Trinity Presbyterian School. His parents are Doyle and Lisa Powell from Montgomery. His grandparents, Jack Powell and Ken and Jessie McAliley, currently reside in Eufaula, Alabama.
