Chip Slawson Serves as Congressional Intern for Rep. Roby
U.S. Representative Martha Roby announced today that Chip Slawson, from Montgomery, is currently serving as a Congressional intern in her Washington D.C., office.
In the office, Slawson is helping with legislative and administrative duties on behalf of the people of Alabama. Slawson is currently a student attending Rhodes College, where he studies Political Science and Economics. Additionally, Slawson is the Sigma Nu Reporter, sings in the Rhodes Men’s Chorus, and is a leader in Reformed University Fellowship.
While serving, Congressional interns observe and take part in the workings of the United States Congress. Experience gained from these internships help students develop knowledge of the government and various policy issues, as well as professional skills that will be valuable in future pursuits.
Slawson is a 2010 graduate of The McCallie School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. His parents are Guice and Leah Slawson, Jr. from Montgomery.
