Catherine Gayle Thrash Serves as Congressional Intern
U.S. Representative Martha Roby announced today that Catherine Gayle Thrash, from Montgomery, is currently serving as a Congressional intern in Roby's Washington, D.C., office.
In the office, Thrash assists Roby and congressional staff members with various legislative and administrative duties. She is currently attending Samford University where she studies Political Science and Philosophy. Thrash is a Samford Ambassador, a judge on the Student Judiciary Council, and Executive Vice President of Alpha Delta Pi. After completing her internship in Representative Roby’s office, Thrash will begin an internship with U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions in his Washington, D.C. office.
While serving, Congressional interns observe and take part in the workings of the United States Congress. Experience gained from these internships help students develop knowledge of the government and various policy issues, as well as professional skills that will be valuable in future pursuits.
Thrash is a 2010 graduate of Trinity Presbyterian School. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Larue Thrash Jr. of Montgomery.
