Roby Congratulates Three AL-02 Students on Completion of D.C. Internship

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Martha Roby (R-AL) today congratulated William Chandler, Bates Herrick, and Hunter McEntire, three students from Alabama’s Second Congressional District, for completing internships in her Washington, D.C., office.

During their time in Representative Roby’s office, William, Bates, and Hunter conducted tours of the United States Capitol building, drafted and presented a policy proposal, assisted constituents with their various needs and requests, attended committee hearings, and more.

“Throughout their time in my office over the last several weeks, these impressive young men have worked very hard on behalf of the people of Alabama’s Second District, and I sincerely appreciate their dedication and efforts,” Representative Roby said. “I am proud of their eagerness to serve their home district and engage in the legislative process. I wish them the very best in their future endeavors.”

William Chandler is a graduate of the Montgomery Academy. He is a rising junior at Sewanee where he is pursuing double majors in Politics and English.

Bates Herrick is a graduate of the Montgomery Academy. He is a rising senior at Sewanee where he studies Economics with double minors in Political Science and Business.

Hunter McEntire is a graduate of Houston Academy (Dothan) and Birmingham Southern College where he earned a degree in History with a minor in Political Science.
