The shooting rampage in Arizona that left more than a dozen people dead or wounded isn’t causing local U.S. Rep. Martha Roby to run and hide.

“While this crime in Arizona is very tragic, Martha follows the recommended safety procedures of the Capitol Police,” said Brecke Popelka, a spokesman in Roby’s Washington office.

Recently elected Congresswoman and former Montgomery City Council member Martha Roby was sworn as a member of the 112th Congress on Wednesday, according to the Montgomery Advertiser today.

Roby's family watched at the ceremony as she was sworn in using the family Bible given as a gift from her grandmother to her parents on their wedding day, says the report.
