Our tax code no longer reflects our modern economy and needs reforming. Listening to my constituents I constantly hear the same thing – they find the code too complicated to navigate. Excessive government regulation and an unpredictable tax structure stifle innovation and prevent hard working families from keeping the money they earn. Tax reform has the potential to spur growth, increasing America’s competitiveness internationally and bringing jobs and money back within our borders.
Comprehensive tax reform must lower the rates for middle class, working families by closing loopholes and making the American business environment more productive. America has a long tradition of leading the world in innovation and research and the tax code can promote these ideas, providing good-paying American jobs for our children and generations to come.
